Exchange

“He had a whole collection of beautiful notebooks himself. He loved stationery. But he hardly ever used it. Like his gran he felt that he’s be spoiling it, even trying to put his ideas onto paper. He’d tried a couple of times, but become too embarrassed and self-conscious in the attempt. By now he knew that he’d never be a writer. ‘We’re readers. That’s what we are,’ he told his gran. ‘And we read enough to know that we can’t do it. To know that writing is hard.’”

Vintage frames

A while ago while I scouring the internet for vintage looking frames for photos I came across these frames - as in glasses - saved them on my computer and found them again yesterday while I was attempting to organize the files on my computer.

This pair is rather nice and are surprisingly from Apperican Apparel

These ones, which I love but cannot remember where I got them from.

And these loverly ones. I just love the model as well, don't you?

L.O.V.E.

L is for the way you look at me
O is for the only one I see
V is very, very extraordinary
E is even more than anyone that you adore can love
L-O-V-E, Nat King Cole

I received a chain mail email type thing and usually I’m not the biggest fan of them but this one was just so adorable I just had to share.

What does 'Love' mean?
A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, 'What does 'love' mean?' The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined.

'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'
Rebecca- age 8

'When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth.'
Billy - age 4

.anthropologie.

As I was reading all the blog posts from my favourite blogs that I missed while I was away I came across a post from Sally Jane Vintage about the fashion line Anthropologie and have (as I do) fallen completely in love with some of their pieces. Particularly this bag and these shoes.
