ootd

So this is actually kinda of an old outfit and I've worn it a again since I took these photos. I just love it so much. I think I originally wore it to the movies. My local cinemas has cheap mondays for students so we go pretty much every week and although I'm not wearing any here it is a good excuse to crack out my many, many pairs of heels.

I really wanted to wearing the earrings that I'm holding in the second photo but I could only find one of them. :/

What I wearing:

  • Oversized black tshirt from target and extra long black singlet from ASOS underneath
  • Cardigan from work. I hated this cardigan when we first got it in, I think it was mostly the price that I hated though. Even with my discount I wouldn't have even considered buying it but when I came to Perth and I started doing occasional shift at our clearance store I couldn't resist it when it was down to $15 or $20.
  • Galaxy print tights from Black Milk Clothing. Love these tights soooo much. They don't do plus sizes unfortunately but I manage to squeeze into their largest size and luckily they seem to be stretching a little over time. I've got some of his other designs as well and I completely love them all :)
  • Black boots from I Love Billy.

I potentially own too many floral skirts - OOTD

I think I wore this to work a couple of weeks ago, I just fond the photo's floating around my computer and thought that I should share.

What I'm wearing.

  • Black tshirt from Target. Love this thing, have about 4 of them an wear them all the time.
  • Black cardigan from work. I think I've got it in ever colour it came in. Last seen here
  • Floral skirt from Factorie. This is crazy comfortable, especially considering it is about 3 sizes to small. I've got it in another colour aswell and love them both.
  • Black thick stockings, which are perfect for winter.
  • Love necklace from Sportsgirl and pink necklace from Need Supply Co.

This is, however, pretty adorable.

Pretty pretty pastel floral - OOTD

This is a couple of days late I actually wore this to work on Sunday.

What I'm wearing
  • Black t-shirt from Target. I am in love with these t-shirts I think I've got about 4 of them wear them to death.
  • Light grey cardigan from work. I think I've got this cardigan in just about every colour it came in, so comfy
  • Floral skirt form Cotton On. I FREAKIN HATE this skirt. Love the pattern but I was so uncomfortable all day long, I had to readjust the skirt about every five minutes. It was the first time that I'd worn it but the elastic band is already starting to unravel. I think I might retire it.
  • Key necklace handmade. I think the key used to open the front door of the house I grew up in.
My hair was particularly well behaved on this day. Normally it is pretty hard to taame, especially when my fringe is wayyy to long (like it is at the moment). Also, my hair is finally growing out. YAY. About 2 years ago I got it all cut off, I'd never had short hair and wanted to see what it was like. I didn't mind it for the first year but ever since I've been trying to grow it out and it is finally getting longer.

day 20 - Place you most want to visit

London.

My mum travelled when she was my age and when I was younger she told me stories. Stories and London and about Israel, and ever since I've wanted to go to both of those places but mostly to London. It's cold and rainy and I'm going to love it.

day 17 - The first big purchase you'd make it you won the lottery

A plane ticket to London and a place to live when I get there.

Straight through this universe in my head - OOTD

I've been trying to take photos to do an outfit post for a really, really long time but I haven't been able to get any photos that were even slightly usable from my DSLR with the self timer and I was getting absolutely nowhere. So I figured that I'd try my webcam and they turned out at least a little better than my other attempts.

I snapped these ones quickly after work yesterday and seeing at I worked the late shift and didn't get home until after 10pm it was dark outside, so I think I'm going to have to try it again in the daylight and hopefully I'll get better results. Don't mind the closes ups but not to fond of the full body shots. hmmmm.

Wore this to work today. I work in fashion retail and we are meant to wear full price product at all times but as it is a straight sized store not that much fits me. I always try to wear at least one piece from there though.

What I'm wearing

  • Black button up oversized shirt from work. I am totally in love with this thing, I actually hhave two of them. It is just really comfortable and perfect for work and running around after customers because it is pretty lightweight.
  • Floral skirt from Cotton On.
  • Knitted circle scarf from Rubi
  • Thick cotton stockings from Target. I only bought these the other day and was totally stoked to find them half price!
  • Silver filagree ball earrings from Just Jeans. I loved them so much that these are my second pair of them.

day 16 - Favourite boys name

Emlyn.

I remember first hearing it when I read Merryll of the Stones by Brian Caswell for school in year 9 and I've loved the name ever since.

That or James. Love the name James too.

ps. I always seem to get crushes / fall in love with guys named Sam, so I guess I like that name too.

day 15 - Favourite Disney princess

Ariel from The Little Mermaid

For the longest time I thought that Anastasia was a Disney princess and I could never understand why she wasn't included with the rest of the princesses in promotional stuff. Needless to say I was pretty disappointed when I found out that she wasn't actually one of the Disney princesses and if she was it would have been a much more difficult decision as to who is my favourite.

New shoes. Yes, I have new shoes, again.

My new wedges from ASOS finally arrived and I love them. Originally I thought that they were going to be blue and I was a little disappointed that they are a dark green instead but they have grown on me and now I love them just as much as I thought I would.

They are a little higher/harder to walk in than I thought they were going to be but they are just so cute that I kinda don't care. Unfortunately my big toe - which I thought was healed :( - is still quite swollen (I do hope that it eventually goes down) so it's a bit of a squeeze to get them on my right foot. So I'm not going to be able to wear them until the swelling has gone down.

I think I'll probably wear them with my darkest blue skinnys and I cant wait. :)

day 12 - Your day, in great detail

I pretty much had the worst day ever today and can not deal with doing this one at the moment. I'll probably do it later for another day though.

Peace. xx.

m

What I should have is this -

Oh how I'd love to live in a fantsay world like Narnia. With Knights who actually ride in on white horses, where aminals talk and magic happens.

This photo is crazy old, from like '07 but it was the only silly photo that I could remember. I'm sure I've got heaps more I just couldn't remember them. :P

day 2 - Your favourite book

If you know me at all, which I guess you don't, you'd know that I am a huge reader and books are my life, I'm even currently studying to become a editor. So it came as a huge surprise to me that I don't actually have a favourite book.

I always thought that the Happy Potter series as a whole was my favourite - it definitely had a huge impact on my life and I still want a HP related tattoo - but I'm not sure that it is my favourite book/series, at least, not anymore.

I looked up too my book shelf when I started to write this and realised that I don't have my Harry Potter books with me anymore. I don't exactly have the largest amount of storage space for books anymore so most of mine are at home with mum but still considering how much I love HP I'm slightly shocked that they didn't make the cut! Thinking back now I'm pretty sure that I didn't bring my HP books with me 'cause I figured that any library would have them and seeing as I live on campus and about a 4 minute walk from the library it wouldn't be too difficult to get them out.

ps. these are the books that did make it cut

I definitely have a favourite genre though, all but four of the books that I have with me are fantasy.

day 1 - A picture of the city you were born in

Australia and I have never had the biggest love affair. Summer is too long and winter doesn't go for nearly long enough. It is too hot for me, too sunny, too sandy, too Australian. I have a burn time of about 5 minutes, even with sunscreen, but even so it's where I was born and where I grew up. I guess I'll always have a little bit of a soft spot for Australia - that tiny little while in the middle of winter where it is sufficiently sold enough.
